AvestaTechnology GmbH enables the remote video surveillance and control of real estate, businesses and other premises via ISDN, LAN and the Internet. With the Avesta m700, Avesta offers its business partners an integrated hardware and software solution for the video surveillance of premises which is particularly user-friendly. The Avesta m700 is an industrial video web server that makes it possible to monitor and control buildings world-wide using Internet technologies. When an incident occurs, the system is able to send messages automatically. The alarm is transmitted to the owner, an alarm centre and/or an authorized person locally, by e-mail or SMS (Short Message System) via the Internet. Besides being equipped with ports for six cameras, the Avesta m700 also has six message lines and an alarm output. The system is easy to install, maintenance-free and can be controlled via any Internet browser. Configuration is performed via a well-designed easy-to-use HTML interface and does not require any special additional software to access the system. With ISDN and Ethernet, two of the most important interfaces are provided from the very outset. Optional expansions are also available for long-time recording and a GSM interface. By using real-time video data compression (JPEG), the Avesta m700 ensures fast transmission of up to 25 images per second at the highest quality. The Avesta V700 DVR, successor to the popular V600 series offers long-time recording with remote broadcasting, configuration and maintenance.
The Avesta V700 DVR permits control of six independent cameras with a recording capacity of 3-4 images/second. In addition, a loop-through video output enables observation with simultaneous DVR use; even post-alarm activity can be viewed live during the recording. Each camera can be assigned to the video output.
Also belonging to the Avesta V700 series is the Avesta V740 DVR (with 80 GB hard disk), the Avesta V770 XL DVR (with 160 GB hard disk), and the Avesta V770 XXL DVR (with 320 GB hard disk). The Avesta V200 is an independent Video Webserver for live image transmission in the Internet, via ISDN or a local Network with 10 or 100 Mbit/s.
The V200 it is not dependent on a direct network integration, but can be used anywhere where an ISDN connection is present. Because channel bundling of both b-channels is integrated the data transmission rate is doubled.
Data transmission takes place via TCP/IP. Here you can select between MPEG or JPEG streaming. The unique MPEG hardware compression of AvestaTechnology, which sends up to 25 images/second via the World-Wide Network, always guarantees a clear image. The advantage of MPEG technology is that each image is not individually transmitted, only the differences between the single images. The amount of data is substantially reduced, thus the number of the transmitted images is increased.
JPEG streaming is transmitted with up to eight images/second. Users can directly access the Avesta V200 and the number of simultaneous access is higher than with MPEG. Furthermore there are no time delays when play-back.
In the Avesta V200 two inputs are available for surveillance functions. Here, for example, motion detection units can be attached. Regarding the camera connections, depending upon the intended application, any video camera with PAL/NTSC composite signal can be attached. A serial interface enables the control of pan/tilt/zoom cameras and other attached devices.
Viewing the images only requires an Internet Browser. Likewise all necessary settings for the installation are easily configured over the Browser. The operating system plays absolutely no role owing to the Internet compatibility from Avesta Technology. |
